"Canadian grocery chain Loblaw Companies Inc. has placed an order for 25 of Tesla Inc's new electric heavy duty trucks," according to a recent Reuters report.

Tesla unveiled the innovative new semi trucks in the last 10 days and reaction has been swift and positive from companies trying to "green" their transportation logistics, with companies like Wal-Mart and others indicating they will place early orders. Tesla Trucks are expected to begin production in 2019.

Tesla's CEO Elon Musk says the trucks will travel 500 miles on a single charge, at regular highway speeds and fully loaded.

According to a Loblaw's spokesperson, "The order furthers Loblaw's goal of having a fully electric corporate fleet by 2030."

The company did not disclose the cost of the new fleet of Tesla trucks coming to Loblaws.
