SEG 2018: Metals, Minerals, and Society

When: September 22 - 25, 2018

Where: Keystone, Colorado

The Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) holds its flagship event every four years, and this year they've titled it Metals, Minerals, and Society. This conference will reflect the growing importance of economic geology in mining, exploration and research as well as its role in energy, infrastructure and the development of modern technology. These themes will be addressed during the technical sessions via presentations and thought-provoking discussions.

The technical program will also include plenary sessions that focus on recent breakthroughs, integration of multidisciplinary geoscience and the crossover between petroleum and ore deposit geoscience (as applied to sedimentary basins).

Some of the presentations will be included in a peer-reviewed SEG special publication, which you can purchase at the event.

In addition, there will be a selection of pre- and post-conference workshops and field trips on offer.
