Big spender

Imperial Metals Corporation spent the largest dollar amount on mineral exploration in British Columbia in 2010, according to the B.C. Provincial Government. The company doled out $32.6 million between the Red Chris, Mount Polley, Ruddock Creek and Catface properties. Imperial’s financial contribution to provincial resource exploration constituted 10 per cent of the approximately $322 million spent by all B.C. exploration companies.
