Mineral surprise

Exploration has revealed increased mineral reserves of 1.5 million tonnes at a grading of 1.17 per cent tungsten trioxide at North American Tungsten’s CanTung Mine in the Northwest Territories. Higher prices are making low-grade areas more valuable and pillar recovery is also contributing to the final reserve total. The mine is expected to be operational until the fourth quarter of 2014.
