EduMine is proud to announce that Simon Houlding was awarded the Vale Medal for Meritorious Contributions to Mining, an honor that is presented as a mark of distinction and recognition to the person who has made a meritorious and practical contribution of outstanding importance to the mining and metallurgical industry of Canada. Simon, EduMine’s founder and VP, received the prestigious medal at Monday night’s gala dinner held at the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM’s) annual conference in Montreal.

In 1999 Simon joined InfoMine Inc. and founded EduMine to provide online professional development and training to the global mining community. For the last fifteen years he has focused on promoting online learning as an effective platform for global dissemination of mining expertise, in collaboration with industry and academia. EduMine is now the largest provider of online professional development and training for mining in the world.
