Tony Giardini has been appointed senior vice-president and CFO of Capstone Mining Corp. He was previously CFO of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. and vice-president and treasurer at Placer Dome Inc.

Rob Bruggeman has been appointed vice-president, corporate development, at Prophecy Platinum Corp. He was previously leader of institutional equity sales and trading at Northern Securities Inc. and a desk analyst, proprietary trading (institutional equities) at TD Securities.

Anthony Pitirri has been appointed CFO of Candente Copper Corp. He is CFO at CuCo Resources Ltd. and was previously vice-president, finance, and corporate controller at Polaris Geothermal Inc. and Ram Power, Corp. and manager auditing and advisory services at BDO Dunwoody LLP.

Robert Baxter has joined the board of Indico Resources Ltd. He is CEO and president of Indico and a director of Pan Global Resources Inc. He was previously president, COO and a director of Norsemont Mining Inc.

Peter Cunningham has been appointed to the board of Cadan Resources Corp. He is managing director of Auvex Manganese Ltd. and chairman of Exterra Resources Ltd.

Jurgen Eijgendaal has been appointed to the board of Castle Peak Mining Ltd. He is managing director of Ghana Manganese Company Ltd. and Nsuta Gold Mining Ltd.

Gregory Johnson has stepped down as president and CEO and director of South American Silver Corp. Phillip Brodie-Hall has been appointed interim president and CEO. Brodie-Hall was previously COO of the company.

Paul Chow and Sven Olsson have jointed the board of Pasinex Resources Ltd. Chow is a director of Meridex Software Corp. and was previously CEO of Sunburst Oil and Gas Corp. Olsson is a director of Zimtu Capital Corp. and Commerce Resources Corp.

Charles Lenegan and Jeffery Tygesen have been appointed directors of Turquoise Hill Resources. Lenegan is a director of Oz Minerals Ltd. and non-executive chairman of Rey Resources Ltd. Tygesen is vice-president, copper development, at Rio Tinto.

Douglas Ford has been appointed director and CFO at Western Pacific Resources Corp. He is CFO of Rockgate Capital Corp., Rockridge Capital Corp., Falkirk Resource Corp. and Bama Gold Corp., general manager of Dockside Capital Group Inc. and a principal of Pemgroup.

George Burns has been appointed executive vice-president and COO at Goldcorp. Inc., replacing Steve Reid. Burns was previously senior vice-president, Mexico, and vice-president, Canada and U.S., with Goldcorp and COO at Centerra Gold.

Bill LeClair and Bill Koutsouras have been appointed to the board of Copper North Mining Corp. LeClair was previously CEO of Crew Gold Corp. Koutsouras was previously executive vice-president and CFO of Endeavour Financial.

Ron Allum has joined Oracle Mining Corp.’s Oracle Ridge Copper Mine project as general manager. He was previously vice-president, operations, for New Gold Inc., Magma Copper Co. and BHP Copper NA.

Wesley Hall, Neil Froc and Shawn Rodeck have joined Prophecy Platinum Corp. as director, project manager and manager of legal affairs, respectively. Hall is founder of Kingsdale Shareholder Services Inc. and Kingsdale Communications Inc. He was previously vice-president, national sales, for Georgeson Shareholder Communications Canada, Inc. Froc was previously executive vice-president at Hard Creek Nickel Corp. Rodeck was previously director of corporate and legal affairs for the Minco Group of Companies.
