Wajax Power Systems and Volvo Penta Canada expand agreement for engine distribution

by Keith Powell

Wajax Power Systems is pleased to announce their recent agreement with Volvo Penta Canada to expand their distribution and support of Volvo Industrial and Marine Commercial engines in selected Canadian markets.

This agreement was developed from the strong relationship between Volvo Penta Canada and Wajax Power Systems, already an authorized Power Centre of Industrial and Power Generation engines in Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces and Marine Commercial from 9L to 16L in Quebec and Newfoundland/Labrador.

Wajax Power Systems has been designated the exclusive Volvo Penta Power Centre for 9L to 16L Marine Commercial, Power Generation and Industrial engines in Ontario and the exclusive Volvo Penta Power Centre for Industrial and Power Generation engines in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The new distribution agreement includes aftermarket parts, service, warranty support and new engine sales.

"Wajax Power Systems has represented the Volvo Penta line in Quebec and the Atlantic provinces for several years and based on that successful relationship we have been given responsibility for a much larger region in Canada," said Richard Plain, Wajax Power Systems president. "Volvo Penta is a world-class manufacturer and we are very pleased to be their largest distribution partner in Canada."

"We're excited about this new opportunity and we know that Wajax Power Systems can use its experience to expand our market of marine, industrial and power generation engines in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan," said Fred Lachlan, Volvo Penta Canada sales director.

In order to assure high quality standards, Wajax Power systems personnel completed full product training and the company put in place tools, parts inventory and a warrant system to support their customers' needs.
