Betty-Ann Heggie is the winner of the 2015 Women in Mining Canada Trailblazer Award.

Women in Mining Canada is announced the selection of Betty-Ann Heggie as the winner of the 2015 Women in Mining Canada Trailblazer Award. The honour is the first national award in Canada to recognize the achievements of women who have made a significant contribution to Canadian mining and/or the inclusion of women in the industry.

Heggie, who started her career as a beer rep and retired as senior VP at PotashCorp, is a member of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women Hall of Fame. She has also been named Canada's top investor relations officer by both her clients and her peers. She is the recipient of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal, an Alumni Mentorship Award from the University of Saskatchewan, and several other awards. She has served on multiple boards and is the founder of the Corporate Directors of Saskatchewan.

WIM will celebrate Heggie's accomplishments at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada conference at the 8th Annual Women in Mining PDAC Networking Reception in the MTCC North Building, Room 105 on March 3, 2015 between 3:00 and 5:00 pm.
