Caterpillar Inc. is driving forward its product offering in the mining industry after its acquisition of Bucyrus International. The expanded product line includes the 7495 rope shovel, which has a payload of 109 tonnes and dipper capacity of 30.6 to 62.6 m3. The machine and others like it are built to remove large amounts of overburden and ore at a fraction of the cost per tonne.
Also new to the line is the 6050/6050F hydraulic shovel, offering over four million operation hours, fast cycle times and a double-benching backhoe for prime profitability in pits and open-cast mines worldwide.
Offering the lowest material cost per tonne in the industry, Cat draglines ensure efficiency in surface mines. The newly acquired 8750 has bucket capabilities of 76 to 129 m3 and boom lengths ranging from 109.7 to 132.5 m. A 226,800 to 383,286 kg rated suspended load means top durability.
