AME Roundup 2020 marked the 37th year of Western Canada's premier mineral exploration conference, drawing an impressive international audience of over 6000 delegates from 38 countries to Vancouver. The event served as a critical platform for cross-industry collaboration, bringing together exploration companies, government officials, First Nations representatives, investors, and service providers under one roof. The conference's central theme, 'Seeing the Unseeable,' highlighted cutting-edge exploration technologies and methodologies designed to improve ore deposit discovery rates and drilling success. Attendees gained valuable insights into new approaches for identifying mineral deposits through enhanced surface expression analysis and advanced geophysical techniques. The event featured significant announcements including the release of new geophysical survey data from Geoscience BC's Vancouver Island North Regional Project, which is expected to catalyze renewed exploration interest in that region. Government participation was notably strong, with presentations from multiple levels of government including federal Parliamentary Secretary Paul Lefebvre and BC Energy Minister Michelle Mungall, demonstrating continued political support for the sector.
