Terms of Use
Last updated June 12, 2026
By using Canadian Mining & Energy (the “Site”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
What Canadian Mining & Energy is
Canadian Mining & Energy is an independent directory of factual listing information about mining & energy issuers and links to their publicly issued press releases, provided for general information only. We also offer paid services: intelligence reports and features unlocked with credits, advertising placements, and marketplace services we coordinate on behalf of partners.
Not investment advice
Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. Always do your own research and consult a licensed professional before making any investment decision.
Accounts
Some features require an account. Keep your credentials secure and your details accurate — you're responsible for activity under your account. Claiming a company profile is reserved for authorized representatives of that company; we verify claims before attaching them and may revoke a claim that turns out to be unauthorized.
Credits
Credits are a prepaid balance used to buy services on the Site — reports, feature access, and marketplace orders. Credits are not money: they have no cash value, can't be transferred between accounts, and can only be redeemed on the Site. Purchased credits don't expire. We may grant promotional or trial credits at our discretion and may change the credit price of any service at any time (changes never affect orders already placed).
Payments & billing
Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise, and applicable taxes (e.g. GST) are added where indicated at checkout, on invoices, and on proposals. Eligible business customers may request to be invoiced instead of paying by card — invoiced credits and services are delivered once the invoice is paid.
Marketplace orders & proposals
Marketplace services are fulfilled either by us (our own publications and placements) or by partners we coordinate with — in both cases Canadian Mining & Energy is your single point of contact. Delivery notes and turnaround times are good-faith estimates, not guarantees. Custom proposals are offers valid until their stated expiry date and are accepted by completing payment. Sponsored placements, boosts, and segments are always identified as sponsored; buying a placement never changes the editorial treatment of factual data on the Site.
Refunds & cancellations
Marketplace orders. You can cancel an order for a full credit refund any time before work begins. Once work is in progress, cancellation and any refund are at our reasonable discretion based on what's been done; completed orders are not refundable. To cancel, email staff@miningandenergy.ca with your order details.
Credit purchases. If you've purchased credits and not spent them, contact us within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund the unspent balance to your original payment method (promotional and bonus credits excluded). Spent credits are not refundable.
Proposals & advertising. Bespoke engagements and ad placements can be cancelled for a full refund before kickoff or first publication; after that, refunds are prorated at our reasonable discretion for the undelivered portion.
Card refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
Accuracy & availability
Content is compiled from public sources and provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. It may contain errors or be out of date. Verify anything important against official sources — the issuer, the relevant exchange, and the applicable securities regulator (e.g. SEDAR+). We may change or remove content at any time.
AI & automated content
Much of the Site is produced by automated systems, including our Scout tools, which read, summarize, classify, grade, tag, and extract facts and relationships from press releases and other public information. Automated output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, and is not reviewed by a person before it appears. Treat every summary, classification, grade, tag, extracted fact, connection, and answer as a starting point for your own research, not as a statement of fact or a recommendation. Do not rely on it for any decision without checking the original source.
Rankings, grading & placement
Any ordering, score, grade, “activity,” trending signal, or similar ranking on the Site is generated automatically from public data using methods we choose and may change at any time. These signals reflect how our systems organize information; they are not endorsements, ratings of quality or creditworthiness, or investment recommendations, and they do not indicate that any issuer is a good or bad investment. Some placements are paid: featured profiles, sponsorships, and advertisements are identified as such, and their position reflects a commercial arrangement rather than editorial merit or any opinion of ours about the issuer.
Third-party links
The Site links to issuers’ websites and press releases (outbound news links pass through a brief on-site redirect page). We don’t control, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party content.
Independence
Canadian Mining & Energy is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any stock exchange (including TSX, TSX Venture, CSE, or TMX Group) or any issuer listed in the directory. Issuer names, tickers, and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the Site — including automated scraping or bulk extraction, attempts to disrupt it, sharing proposal or payment links that aren't yours to share, or any unlawful use.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canadian Mining & Energy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. For paid services, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Material changes to paid-service terms apply to purchases made after the change. Questions? Email staff@miningandenergy.ca.
