Ecological Media Tour

The Ecological Media Tour was a significant corporate communications initiative organized by Silvercorp Metals in partnership with the Natural Resources Department of Henan Province. The event brought together 26 journalists from China's most influential media outlets, including People's Daily, Xinhua News, CCTV, Guangming Online, and Henan Daily, providing them with exclusive access to Silvercorp's mining operations and environmental management systems. Participants toured the company's advanced mineral processing facilities, tailings management systems, and water treatment infrastructure, gaining firsthand insight into the company's comprehensive environmental stewardship programs. The tour highlighted Silvercorp's substantial investments in ecological restoration, including over 200,000 square metres of reforestation and sophisticated water recycling systems that eliminate discharge to local reservoirs. This event represents a strategic approach to stakeholder engagement in China's evolving regulatory environment, where mining companies must demonstrate environmental compliance and community responsibility to maintain their social license to operate.
