Exploration Midland has announced an ambitious 2026 exploration program totaling over $12 million across its Quebec-based gold and copper-gold project portfolio, with $9.5 million funded by Midland and $2.5 million by partners. The program encompasses nearly 15,000 meters of drilling across multiple properties in partnership with major mining companies including BHP Canada, Rio Tinto Exploration Canada, Barrick Gold, Agnico Eagle, SOQUEM, Probe Gold, and Wallbridge Mining.

The company's flagship Jouvex project, located 10 kilometers northwest of the Douay gold deposit, represents a significant focus for 2026 activities. Following internal compilation of historical drill data and drone magnetic surveys, Midland has identified potential for volcanogenic massive sulfide mineralization and structural controls favorable for gold deposits. A helicopter-supported diamond drilling program is currently underway, expanded from five to six holes totaling 1,900 meters, targeting magnetic anomalies and interpreted structures that coincide with induced polarization anomalies from 2025 geophysical surveys.

At the Casault project, partnered with Wallbridge Mining, extensive targeting studies have identified 23 additional zones considered prospective for gold mineralization. The project benefits from its position along the Sunday Lake Deformation Zone, which controls gold mineralization along the Detour-Fenelon gold corridor hosting Agnico Eagle's Detour Lake mine and Wallbridge's Martinière and Fenelon deposits. Wallbridge has committed to a 3,000-meter drilling campaign scheduled for Q2 2026, subject to permitting.

Midland's project generator business model continues to show strength with recent acquisition of several new quality properties and formation of multiple new partnerships throughout Quebec. The company's diversified portfolio spans the Abitibi greenstone belt, Eeyou Istchee James Bay region, and Labrador Trough, positioning it well to benefit from Quebec's favorable mining jurisdiction and proximity to established mining infrastructure. The substantial 2026 program represents a significant escalation in exploration activities and demonstrates strong partner confidence in Midland's project generation capabilities.
