Midnight Sun Extends Dumbwa Copper Deposit to Over 5.3 Kilometres; Remains Open Along Strike With Drilling Ongoing

Midnight Sun Mining Corp. has achieved a major milestone at its Dumbwa copper deposit in Zambia's Solwezi region, extending the proven strike length to over 5.3 kilometres through an intensive drilling campaign. The company has completed more than 200 drill holes totaling over 42,000 metres, with results confirming near-surface copper sulphide mineralization across a continuous 5.3km strike. Notable intercepts include 93m @ 0.40% Cu, 80m @ 0.39% Cu, 44m @ 0.53% Cu, and 36m @ 0.58% Cu, demonstrating both scale and grade potential.

The geological model has been validated, confirming Dumbwa as an exceptionally large, structurally controlled copper sulphide deposit comparable to Barrick's nearby Lumwana mine. The deposit exhibits characteristic 'pinch-and-swell' geometry typical of major structurally controlled systems, with east-west widths ranging from 200m to over 500m. The drilling has focused on the upper 220m of the deposit to define a resource suitable for low strip ratio, cost-effective development, though mineralization has been demonstrated to depths exceeding 300m in some areas.

The deposit is strategically located in Zambia's prolific Domes Region, flanked by First Quantum's Kansanshi mine and Barrick's Lumwana operation. The company has identified distinct grade zones along strike, including higher-grade blocks totaling 3,300m of strike length with widths varying from 200m to over 500m. Quality control issues with laboratory analysis have been resolved, clearing a backlog of assays and enabling continued systematic expansion.

Midnight Sun continues drilling with four rigs focused on extending the deposit northward along strike and expanding previously drilled mineralization east and west. The deposit remains open for growth, with soil anomalies extending beyond the current drill-defined limits. This discovery positions the company to potentially develop a significant copper resource in one of Africa's premier copper districts, with the geological similarities to Lumwana suggesting substantial long-term potential.
