Peruvian Metals Secures 6 Year Agreement with Community at Mercedes Project

·

Executive Summary

Peruvian Metals Corp. has achieved a significant milestone by securing a 6-year community agreement with Comunidad Campesina de Pomamanta for its Mercedes Project in Peru, which has now been officially registered with Peru's public registry. The agreement provides crucial local access to the mine site for both exploration and exploitation activities, enabling the company to commence mineral extraction and processing operations immediately with current provisional permits in place.

The technical and economic fundamentals of the project appear highly favorable. Previous metallurgical testing on the Victor II vein demonstrated exceptional recovery rates of 97.85% for silver and 92.19% for gold, producing concentrates grading 33.03 ounces per tonne silver and 12.23 grams per tonne gold. The company expects to complete full permitting by year-end to enable extraction of up to 350 tonnes per day. Importantly, the project economics have been dramatically enhanced by the current precious metals environment, with gold trading around US$5,100 per ounce and silver at US$90 per ounce, compared to US$2,175 and US$23 respectively when the company first acquired its interest.

Peruvian Metals maintains a 50% stake in San Maurizio Mines Ltd., which holds direct ownership of the Mercedes Property, with development and exploration costs shared equally with Hudson Heartland Ltd. The project benefits from experienced management including Eric Hinton, P.Eng., who brings over 35 years of international mining experience, and utilizes the company's existing Aguila Norte processing plant infrastructure with environmental permits supporting expansion beyond current 100 tonnes per day capacity.

This development positions Peruvian Metals to transition from exploration to production operations, leveraging both favorable commodity prices and established processing capabilities. The community agreement removes a key development risk and provides the social license necessary for sustained operations, while the company's integrated business model of mineral processing and toll milling services offers multiple revenue streams in the current high-price precious metals environment.
