Tailings and Mine Waste 2017 invites mine waste managers, engineers involved with tailings management and reclamation, regulators and researchers to share their knowledge.
Attendees will have the chance to present their ideas, learn about the latest developments and technology, discuss pertinent industry challenges and make new professional contacts.
The presentations will cover topics related to mine closures and rehabilitation, as well as general tailings and mine waste management concerns. There will also be discussions on social-political perspectives, sustainability, toxicology, brownfields, regulatory issues and public/community use.
In addition, there will be special sessions entitled Oil Sands Tailings and Mine Wastes, and Northern Issues with Tailings and Mine Wastes.
