Ximen Mining Corp Water Retention Plan Next Step for Kenville Mine Project — Nelson BC
Executive Summary
This permitting milestone represents critical progress in Ximen's broader strategy to advance the Kenville project toward construction. The immediate objective is to build a new underground decline that will provide access to multiple gold-bearing quartz veins located west and south of the historic mine workings. These targets were previously identified through surface drilling programs, indicating the potential to expand the known mineralization.
The systematic approach to permitting and engineering design demonstrates Ximen's commitment to regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship as it moves the project through development phases. The involvement of qualified environmental and engineering consultants, along with oversight by Dr. Mathew Ball as the project's Qualified Person, ensures technical rigor in the advancement process.
For the broader British Columbia mining sector, this development reflects continued activity in established mining districts where modern techniques can unlock additional value from historically productive areas. The Nelson mining camp has a long history of gold production, and projects like Kenville demonstrate how contemporary exploration and development can build upon this legacy while meeting current regulatory and environmental standards.
