Canadian manufacturer Fordia has introduced the latest addition to its Hero series of matrices: the new Hero 11 diamond core bit. The Hero 11 has been designed to conquer very hard to extremely hard ground, such as those consisting of basalt, felsic or volcanic rock. These types of ground—often found in places in South America and Australia—call for an extremely sharp matrix to deliver the strength of bite required to be effective for the job.
Consistent with the Hero series, this newest bit comes with a 13-millimetre diamond impregnation height and, according to the company, offers an outstanding penetration/lifetime ratio.
Fordia specializes in the manufacture of tools and accessories for drilling companies working in mineral exploration and geo-technical industries.
