The Hero series by Fordia is a series of core bits that go above and beyond industry standard. The Hero core bits are well known for their penetration capabilites and lifespan. According to Fordia, each core bit goes through a rigorous selection process and addresses specific performance requirements—this means they will tackle both hard and soft ground conditions.
New in the series is the Hero 9. The Hero 9 is designed for very hard ground rated between 6 and 7.5 on the Mohs scale. It stands out from the competition thanks to its longer lifespan and impressive penetration rate, allowing it to drill faster and longer.
Dozens of tests with numerous drilling companies across multiple sites have demonstrated that the Hero 9 has a lifespan that is 50 per cent longer than the competition. The Hero 9 is engineered to exceed expectations and boost the performance of drilling crews. In Australia, a team of drillers drilled a total of 1,111 metres with one Hero 9.
The Hero 9 is ideal for drilling through plutonic and volcanic rocks, such as granite or syenite, or similar rock formations. The Hero 9 is available in diamond impregnation heights of 13 mm and 16 mm.
