Minds Over Metal Welding Summer Camp

The Minds Over Metal summer camp represents a comprehensive introduction to the welding profession designed specifically for young people who may benefit from exposure to skilled trades career paths. Participants will engage in a structured curriculum covering welding safety fundamentals, Gas Metal Arc welding techniques, and weld symbol interpretation, providing them with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, beginning with welding simulator training before progressing to actual welding equipment where students create their own projects under professional supervision.

The camp addresses multiple objectives beyond basic skills training, serving as a youth engagement initiative for at-risk populations while simultaneously introducing participants to the diverse career opportunities within the welding industry.
