Northern Shield Reports Significant Cu, Pb, Zn Values from Polymetallic Porphyry Target, Root & Cellar Property, Newfoundland

Northern Shield Resources Inc. (TSXV: NRN) has announced significant polymetallic assay results from grab rock samples collected at the Creston Copper Target, located on their 100% owned Root & Cellar Property in southeastern Newfoundland. The samples returned impressive grades of up to 3.9% lead, 4.0% zinc, and 2.0% copper, demonstrating the potential of this polymetallic porphyry system.

The Root & Cellar Property encompasses a substantial mineralized system that extends over six kilometres of strike length, hosting five distinct epithermal gold-silver-tellurium zones in addition to the large polymetallic porphyry copper system. This geological setting represents a significant exploration opportunity, as porphyry systems are known for their potential to host large-tonnage, bulk-mineable deposits with multiple commodity streams.

These results are particularly noteworthy given the current strong market fundamentals for base metals, especially copper, which is experiencing increased demand driven by electrification and energy transition initiatives.
