Prismo Metals Advances to Drilling at Historic Silver King Silver Project with Permit Approval and Contractor Engagement

Prismo Metals Inc. has achieved a significant milestone in advancing its Silver King Mine project in Arizona with formal permit approval from the U.S. Forest Service to proceed with a comprehensive drilling program. The approval authorizes drilling from multiple drill pads designed to test the upper portion of the historic Silver King mineralized body, which was previously mined across nine levels over approximately 300 meters of depth. Mobilization is scheduled for February 20th, 2026, followed by preparatory site work and access improvements before drilling commences.

The Phase 1 drilling program encompasses 1,000 meters of diamond drilling across an estimated nine holes, targeting the upper portion of the steeply west-dipping pipe-like stockwork and breccia zone that historically produced high-grade silver and base metals. The company has engaged Godbe Drilling LLC, a Colorado-based family-owned drilling contractor with extensive southwestern U.S. experience, to execute the program. Additional drilling phases are planned to test deeper levels and areas adjacent to the historic mine workings.

The Silver King mine represents one of Arizona's most significant historic silver producers, discovered in 1875 and having produced nearly six million ounces of silver at grades ranging from 21 to 61 ounces per ton during early production. Limited small-scale mining in the late 1990s yielded samples with exceptionally high silver and associated gold values, indicating substantial remaining high-grade mineralization potential within the system. The project's location within Arizona's prolific Copper Belt geological framework and its proximity to active mining operations enhances its strategic significance.

This drilling program marks the first comprehensive modern exploration of the Silver King system and positions Prismo to evaluate what management characterizes as significant exploration potential. The project's strategic location just 3.4 kilometers from Rio Tinto and BHP's Resolution Copper joint venture adds considerable appeal and visibility to the program. With full funding secured for multiple drilling phases, Prismo is well-positioned to advance understanding of this historic high-grade silver system and potentially unlock substantial value from what appears to be an underexplored asset in a world-class mining district.
