Walker River Announces Completion Of Airborne Geophysical Survey At The Lapon Canyon Gold Project

Walker River Resources Corp. has completed its inaugural airborne geophysical survey at the Lapon Canyon Gold Project, marking a significant milestone in the company's exploration efforts within Nevada's prolific Walker Lane Gold trend. The comprehensive survey covered 496 line-kilometres using magnetic and radiometric methods, revealing compelling evidence of a more extensive mineralized system than previously understood.

The geophysical results have yielded several key discoveries that enhance the project's exploration potential. Magnetic low anomalies and elevated potassium-to-uranium and potassium-to-thorium ratios show strong spatial correlation with known gold mineralization and successful drill intercepts. Most notably, 3D magnetic susceptibility inversion modeling has defined a coherent northeast-southwest trending magnetic low that extends to depths exceeding 900 metres, suggesting the hydrothermal alteration system may be significantly larger than current drilling has defined.

These findings build upon Walker River's 2025 drilling success, which identified intrusion-related gold mineralization in monzonitic rocks—a previously unrecognized deposit style at Lapon that significantly expands the project's geological model. This discovery shifts the project from a simple shallow oxide target to a more complex intrusive-related system, a deposit type commonly associated with substantial gold mineralization in Nevada. The presence of elevated copper values in recent drilling further supports this interpretation and suggests potential for polymetallic mineralization.

The geophysical survey results will directly inform Walker River's 2026 drilling program, which begins in early June and will focus on infill drilling and testing deeper-seated intrusive bodies identified through the magnetic modeling. The company expects to complete an initial NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate in 2026, representing a critical value inflection point for the project. The combination of expanded geological understanding and systematic geophysical targeting positions Lapon Canyon as an increasingly compelling gold exploration opportunity within one of Nevada's most productive gold belts.
