Walker River Announces Significant Gold Intercepts Including 3.97 G/T Au Over 85 Metres At The Lapon Canyon Gold Project

Walker River Resources Corp. has announced compelling assay results from its 2025 reverse circulation drill program at the Lapon Canyon Gold Project in Nevada's prolific Walker Lane trend. The most significant intercept came from drill hole LC-25-170, which returned 3.79 g/t gold over 85.34 meters starting at 143.26 meters depth, including high-grade intervals of 16.49 g/t Au over 6.10 meters and 10.24 g/t Au over 6.09 meters. Additional holes returned consistent gold mineralization, with LC-25-168 delivering 1.33 g/t Au over 57.91 meters and LC-25-169 returning 1.64 g/t Au over 44.20 meters.

The discovery represents a significant advancement in understanding the project's geological potential, as the gold mineralization has been identified within intrusive emplacement, notably monzonitic units. This marks a departure from the historically shallow, iron oxide-altered horizon that previously defined gold mineralization at Lapon. The presence of monzonite as the host rock suggests the possible existence of a monzonite porphyry system, a deposit style commonly associated with significant gold mineralization in Nevada. Elevated copper values in multi-element geochemical sampling further support this porphyry interpretation.

The 2025 drilling has successfully extended gold mineralization south and east of the Hotspot zone, with systematic drilling from strategically positioned pads spaced 30 to 60 meters apart. The gold system appears to be predominantly sub-horizontal to moderately south-dipping, with evidence of steeper-dipping, higher-grade shoots within the broader mineralized envelope. The discovery of intrusive-hosted gold mineralization significantly expands the project's exploration potential by opening up deeper-seated rock units capable of hosting additional mineralization.

Looking forward, Walker River plans to complete an initial NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate sometime in 2026, based on results from previous and current drill programs. Further drilling in 2026 will focus on infill and exploration work to define potential sources of feeder zones and emplacement of discrete deeper-seated intrusive bodies, supported by detailed geophysical surveys. The company's systematic approach to resource definition and exploration, combined with the new geological understanding of intrusive-hosted mineralization, positions the Lapon Canyon project as a potentially significant gold discovery within Nevada's established Walker Lane gold corridor.
