EMPRESS PROVIDES UPDATE AS TAHUEHUETO REACHES COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION

Empress Royalty Corp. has announced a significant milestone for one of its key streaming investments, the Tahuehueto Mine operated by Luca Mining Corp. The mine successfully achieved commercial production in March 2025, marking the transition from development to full-scale operations. The operation is now consistently processing ore at throughput rates exceeding 800 tonnes per day, demonstrating the project's operational capabilities.

The commercial production achievement is particularly significant for Empress Royalty given its 100% silver stream agreement on the property, originally announced in July 2021. This streaming arrangement provides Empress with direct exposure to silver production from the mine without the operational risks and capital requirements associated with mine ownership. The successful ramp-up to commercial production validates the investment thesis and begins the cash flow generation phase for the streaming agreement.

The milestone represents an important development in the precious metals streaming sector, where companies like Empress provide upfront capital to mining operations in exchange for the right to purchase a percentage of future production at predetermined prices. With Tahuehueto now in commercial production, Empress can expect to begin receiving silver deliveries under the streaming agreement, providing a new revenue stream to complement its existing portfolio of royalty and streaming investments.
