Ultrahaul fleet delivery for Bravus shows strong capability

Bravus Mining and Resources has successfully completed one of the Carmichael mine's largest local manufacturing contracts with the delivery of the twenty-third and final Ultrahaul tray from SMW Group. The contract, initiated in August 2021, represented a multi-million dollar investment in regional Queensland manufacturing capabilities, with each tray requiring 40 tonnes of steel and fabrication across SMW's Rockhampton and Mackay workshops.

The project demonstrates significant commitment to local content strategy, with SMW Group hiring eight new apprentices specifically to service the contract while distributing work between their two regional facilities.
