FPX Nickel Announces Succession Planning for Sustainability Team to Support the Advancement of the Baptiste Nickel Project

FPX Nickel Corp. has implemented a strategic succession plan within its Sustainability team to support the continued advancement of the Baptiste Nickel Project, demonstrating the company's commitment to organizational continuity and regulatory progress. The changes, effective June 1, 2026, include the planned retirement of Tim Bekhuys, Senior Vice President of Sustainability & External Relations, who will transition to a Senior Advisor role for the remainder of 2026. Nigel Fisher, who has been instrumental in Baptiste's entry into the environmental assessment process, will be promoted to Vice President of Sustainability & External Relations.

The organizational restructuring also includes the strategic addition of Julia Tarnowski, P.Eng., as Director of Environment, bringing over 25 years of environmental engineering and regulatory experience from Western Canadian mining operations. This appointment significantly strengthens FPX's permitting and environmental compliance capabilities, particularly relevant given Baptiste's status as the first project in British Columbia's Critical Minerals Office concierge service initiative.

The Baptiste Nickel Project represents a unique opportunity in the critical minerals sector, featuring sulphur-free awaruite mineralization that positions it to potentially become one of the world's lowest carbon-intensive nickel producers.
